• Forage Extender™ is a pellet specifically formulated to provide fiber to horses and is now available in TWO SIZES to better meet our customer's needs.

• Using only the highest quality fiber sources - Soy Hulls, Dehy Alfalfa Meal and Beet Pulp, Forage Extender™ offers more nutritional value per pound than hay.

• Introduce gradually over 7-10 days.

 

 

Highlights of this feed include:

 

ü      80% digestible fiber vs. a maximum of 50% digestible fiber in hay

 

ü       12% protein vs. hay protein of 5-8% (depending on crop)

 

ü        Balanced Ca:P ratio

 

ü        Yeast Culture is added to aid in the proper digestion of the fiber in the horse’s diet, thereby allowing the horse to get the most out of the ration

 

ü        Low in nonstructural carbohydrates – low in starch and sugar

 

ü        Small pellet diameter and length to eliminate waste

 

ü        Flexibility to replace hay, pound for pound, at up to 50% of total daily forage consumption.

 

ü        Meet horse’s energy requirements with less pounds of concentrate.
