Beet pulp can be used to supplement fiber in a horses’ diet. Horse owners can also use this product as a hay replacer or forage extender. Beet pulp is a very digestible product that can have higher energy levels than grass hay. Beet pulp also helps maintain water balance in hard working horses.

Is it necessary to soak beet pulp?
As a horse eats (normally) it chews, grinding and breaking particles into smaller and smaller pieces. These particles make their way through a well lubricated digestive system until it is digested in the large intestine.
